reflections

the course of this project has allowed me to experience many, many new things, some of which have been extremely interesting, and some of which made me realise certain things that i had not previously thought of.

for instance, the data entry part of the project was extremely tedious, and it made me realise that even a computerised system will still demand at least some work; previously i had thought that everything was automated, with the user only needing to print whatever he wanted

also, working with ACCPAC was very interesting, because it kinda links all the accounting theory we have been learning to a practical experience.

i contributed to the project by attending group meetings, taking part in group dicussions, etc. also, i did part of the theory component, and much of the initial data entry for ACCPAC was done by me (i can type fast).

about the skills i learnt, well, i think i'll just say that the project has made me somewhat familiar with how an accounting software operates, which may be helpful in future if work requires me to use similiar software.

overall, i feel that this project has been a unique and enlightening experience, very different from the more conventional projects we usually have to do.
